This Legacy Member page honours the Makers and Hosts who were once part of Mi’kmawitasik and who have made their journey to the spirit world.
Each of these individuals shared their knowledge, creativity, language, and lived experience with generosity and care. Their profiles remain here in recognition of the work they contributed to their communities and to Mi’kma’ki. By keeping their stories, we acknowledge the role they played in strengthening Mi’kmaw culture and supporting authenticity.
Mi’kmawitasik is built on relationships, responsibility, and respect. Our Legacy Members helped shape this work. Their teachings continue through the artists they mentored, the individuals they guided, and the traditions they helped carry forward.
