Hailey Francis is a freelance Mi’kmaw graphic designer from Wagmatcook, currently living and working in Millbrook, Nova Scotia. With a passion for visual storytelling, Hailey blends modern digital design with Mi’kmaw cultural aesthetics. She specializes in logo design, posters, brochures, business cards, and more—each infused with a Mi’kmaw feel that resonates with her clients and their communities.
Hailey’s path to graphic design began in high school, where a teacher encouraged her to pursue the arts. She later completed a one-year Applied Communications Arts program followed by a two-year Graphic Design diploma, graduating with honors. Since then, she has collaborated with numerous Mi’kmaw organizations and communities, building a strong reputation for delivering thoughtful, culturally grounded designs. Hailey was tapped to help create the Mi’kmawitasik logo.
Her process is highly personalized—she takes time to connect deeply with her clients to understand the stories they want to tell and ensures that Mi’kmaw values and identity shine through in every design. For Hailey, design is about bringing visions to life and feeling proud of every finished project that contributes to Mi’kmaw visibility and pride.
“Working with Mi’kmaw clients and communities always holds a special place in my heart. I love designing because I get to bring my clients’ visions to life and see them realized with meaning.” – Hailey Francis
